Meade County Fiscal Court has announced it is seeking sealed bids for a hardware refresh of the Solacom Guardian Communications System used by Meade County E-911. The system manages all emergency and non-emergency calls and texts to the county’s 9-1-1 number, as well as administrative phone lines.
The project will be submitted as a grant application to the Kentucky 911 Services Board for possible funding in 2026. If the grant is approved, work on the hardware upgrade will not begin before August 15, 2026, or until an agreement is signed between Meade County officials and representatives from the Kentucky 911 Services Board.
Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Meade County Judge/Executive’s Office at 516 Hillcrest Drive, Brandenburg, KY 40108. The deadline for submission is March 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST. All bids are required to remain valid through August 31, 2026, following guidelines set by the Kentucky 911 Services Board. The Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
