Meade County Planning Commission schedules March 19 work session and meeting

The Meade County Planning Commission has announced that it will hold a work session and regular meeting on March 19, 2026, at the Meade County Courthouse. The work session is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., with the regular meeting following at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public.

According to the commission, the work session will cover several planning and administrative topics. These include commissioner training, updates to the county’s Comprehensive Plan, subdivision regulations, agricultural exempt divisions, and ordinance-related issues. The commission will also review subdivision plats for Reedland Estates and Walker Farm – Phase 2. Additionally, there will be discussion about campers and recreational vehicles.

During the regular meeting, commissioners plan to approve minutes from previous meetings and review old business items. The agenda also includes consideration of multiple rezoning requests involving properties in Brandenburg, Vine Grove, Rhodelia, and Ekron. Preliminary and final subdivision plats will be reviewed as well.

A public session is planned during which attendees can address the commission on matters not subject to a public hearing. “Interested residents are encouraged to attend and may be heard regarding the listed zoning matters,” stated the commission.
