Meade County Fiscal Court will hold its regular meeting on May 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Meade County Court House, located at 516 Hillcrest Drive in Brandenburg, Kentucky.

The meeting is set to address a range of county business including financial approvals, departmental reports, budget discussions, appointments to various boards and departments, road department matters, and several planning and zoning items. The session will begin with the call to order, pledge and invocation, roll call, public session period for comments or questions from attendees, as well as committee reports.

During the business portion of the agenda, court members are expected to review and consider approval of minutes from the April 14 regular meeting along with monthly financial statements. Other routine actions include reviewing claims and transfers as well as personnel matters such as hires, resignations, or terminations across county departments.

Additional agenda items include reviews of both the Meade County Extension District Budget and Conservation District Budget along with its Annual Plan of Work. Road Department updates are scheduled with a focus on Ditto Lane estimates and rural secondary monies. The court will also consider resolutions related to county road aid agreements. Bids for IT consultant services and fuel services for fiscal year 2026-2027 will be accepted during this session.

Appointments are planned for positions within local fire districts—including Battletown Fire Department—and other community boards such as CKCAC Board Low Income Representative. Planning includes first readings of the proposed fiscal year budget for 2026-2027 and consideration of a mobile vendor permit resolution. Several rezoning requests—both first readings and second readings—are also listed on the agenda affecting properties in Brandenburg, Vine Grove, Ekron, Battletown,
and surrounding areas.

The court may enter into closed session under KRS 61.810(1)(c) if necessary to discuss proposed or pending litigation involving public agencies. Members of the public are invited to attend.
