The Meade County Fiscal Court announced on April 7 that its next regular meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:00 PM at the Meade County Fiscal Court Building located at 516 Hillcrest Drive in Brandenburg, Kentucky. The public is invited to attend the session.
The meeting is significant as it covers a range of county business and provides an opportunity for residents to participate in local governance. The agenda includes committee reports, approval of previous meeting minutes, financial statements, claims and transfers, department reports, and personnel actions such as hires and resignations.
Departmental topics will address a proclamation for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week under Dispatch; employee recognition; consideration of a part-time GIS GPS position; acceptance of the year-end audit from December 2024 by the County Clerk; vehicle bid opening and employee contract matters for Emergency Medical Services; review of Ditto Lane petition and Flex Funds resolutions by the Road Department.
Procurement items include seeking bids for IT Consultant services and fuel supply contracts covering fiscal years 2026-2027. Solid Waste and Recycling will review job descriptions while the Detention Center will consider a Jail Net Recovery Agreement. Otter Creek Park business features second reading of Ordinance 2026.01 related to parking management as well as several resolutions concerning park rules, access fees, event permitting, and fee policies.
Planning and Zoning first readings involve multiple rezoning cases across Brandenburg, Vine Grove, Ekron, Rhodelia Road area, Shumate Road area, and Midway Road area. Additional updates include information about grant writing efforts.
A closed session is scheduled pursuant to KRS statutes regarding litigation involving the county or economic development discussions where open deliberation could affect outcomes. The meeting will conclude with adjournment.
