City of Irvington issued the following announcement on Sept 7.

Paul Sawyier, one of Kentucky’s most renowned artists, grew up in Frankfort and created many watercolor paintings of the landscape. Visits behind the scenes of the museum to view his original artworks in our collection’s vault. Then take a canoe ride along the Kentucky River to become inspired just as Sawyier was. Last, paint your very own watercolor creation.
There will be a lot of walking around downtown Frankfort and you may get wet in the river so wear appropriate clothing. This is a weather permitted workshop and will be rescheduled due to storms.
For ages 5 and up.
Cost: $35 per person; $30 for members. Price includes museum admission so feel free to explore our sites before you hit the water.

Payment is due the day of the workshop. Workshops begin at the front desk of the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History.
